Trailer Maintenace
What is the warranty on my boat trailer tires and wheels?
The warranty on your trailer’s tires and wheels is provided directly by the tire manufacturer, not Venture Trailers. Because Venture sources wheels and tires from multiple brands, your coverage depends on the specific brand installed on your trailer.
Tire Warranties
Check your tire’s sidewall for the manufacturer/brand name. Tredit Tire is one of our main suppliers and provides several common brands, including:
- Rainier
- Elevate
- Eco-Trail
- H188
- Arisun
- Goodyear
Each of these brands has its own warranty terms, which may cover workmanship, materials, or tread life for a set period of time. You’ll need to register your tires with the manufacturer to activate coverage and ensure you receive recall or safety updates.

Understanding Tire Warranty Coverage
Not all tire problems are treated the same, and that’s why it’s important to understand exactly what your tire warranty does—and does not—cover. Boat trailer tires operate under tough conditions: heavy loads, highway speeds, and frequent exposure to water. Because of this, manufacturers carefully separate covered warranty conditions (issues caused by defects in materials or workmanship) from non-covered conditions (issues caused by road hazards, misuse, or neglect).
Covered Warranty Conditions:
These are situations where the tire fails due to a manufacturing defect. Examples include:
- Tread separation
- Sidewall or shoulder cracking
- Bead or liner separation
- Weather checking (within 2 years of purchase)
- Excess vibration or irregularities in new tread
If any of these issues occur, the manufacturer may replace the tire or provide a pro-rated adjustment depending on mileage and age.
Not Covered by Warranty:
Issues caused by road use, improper care, or outside damage are excluded. This includes:
- Road hazards like cuts, curbing, or punctures beyond repair
- Irregular wear patterns (under- or over-inflation, misalignment, overloading)
- Damage from mounting, fire, chemicals, or vandalism
- Wear beyond the normal warranty age limit
- Cosmetic noise or vibration after initial break-in period
Understanding Wheel Warranty Coverage
Wheel Warranties
Trailer wheel manufacturers also provide warranty coverage, which typically applies to:
- Structural Integrity – Coverage against cracking or separation due to workmanship or materials.
- Finish – Protection against peeling, blistering, or other defects in the applied finish (paint or clear coat) under normal use.
What’s Not Covered:
Most wheel warranties exclude conditions caused by:
- Cosmetic damage from curbs, stone chips, or impact.
- Rust or corrosion from saltwater, road chemicals, or neglect.
- Damage from improper installation, overloading, or misuse.
- Alterations or modifications to the wheel.
