Cleaning the aluminum frame of your boat trailer is essential for preventing corrosion, extending its lifespan, and keeping it looking sharp. The best way to clean aluminum trailer components is to use hot water mixed with a mild dish detergent—such as Dawn—along with a soft-bristle brush to gently remove dirt, salt, and grime.

Pro Tip: After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry the frame to prevent water spots. For added protection, apply a marine-grade aluminum protectant or wax to shield against saltwater and road debris.

Important Disclaimer: Our boat trailers are made with mill-finished aluminum that does not have a protective coating. Always check the label and manufacturer’s instructions of any cleaner before use to ensure it is safe for uncoated aluminum. Using the wrong product can cause permanent surface damage.
