Shackle links, or straps, are used to connect brackets, accessories, or secure leaf springs, helping to reduce the stiffness of your trailer’s suspension. On single-axle trailers, shackle links connect the rear of the double-eye spring to the hanger. For double-axle trailers, they connect the rear of the first leaf spring and the front of the second leaf spring to the equalizer. The length of the shackle link also influences the trailer’s height.
