Venture Trailers, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Assistant to join our team! This position serves a key role in working with our Logistics department, drivers and customers to ensure that our Logistics department operates at maximum efficiency.

DUTIES
  • Monitoring shipping schedule and truck GPS
  • Organizing boat trailer build schedule
  • Modifying driver’s delivery schedules
  • Assists with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation compliance as needed
  • Audits driver paperwork to ensure accuracy
  • Verifying delivery arrival times and general customer inquiries
  • Booking travel arrangements for overnight delivery drivers
  • Maintaining driver records and schedules
  • Clerical, organizational and data entry work as needed
  • Continuously expand knowledge of our product line
  • Always deliver exceptional customer service
  • Contributing to the department and company’s success by meeting and exceeding all performance objectives
  • Quickly identify and resolve customer issues
  • Work cooperatively with the rest of the team
  • Report customer issues to management
  • Additional duties as assigned by Logistics Manager
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Logistical or Trucking experience preferred
  • Exceptional phone presence
  • A positive, friendly and helpful demeanor
  • Problem solving with the ability to prioritize
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking is essential
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication skills
  • Mature attitude when dealing with customers
